Use this page on the Android phone itself. If the browser warns the file “may be harmful,” tap Download anyway — that warning appears for every APK.
Open it from the notification or your Downloads folder. ⚠️ Don’t open it while it’s still downloading — that causes a “problem parsing the package” error.
If asked, tap Settings → Allow from this source, then press back. This only needs to be done once.
If Play Protect shows a notice, tap Install anyway. Then open CyberDeduct, sign in, and connect your Tesla. 🎉
“There was a problem parsing the package.” Almost always means the download didn’t finish. Delete the file, reconnect to Wi-Fi, download it fully (it’s about 80 MB), and open it only after it shows Download complete.
“Can’t install unknown apps.” Tap Settings on that prompt, turn on Allow from this source for your browser, press back, and tap Install again.
“App not installed.” You may already have an older copy. Uninstall the old “CyberDeduct / Tesla Tax Log” first, then install again.
Still stuck? Email hello@initial-energy.com and we’ll help you get set up.
Coming soon to Google Play for one-tap install. For now the app is delivered as a direct download, signed with a stable key so future updates install automatically over the top.
CyberDeduct logs every detail automatically — dates, odometer readings, GPS coordinates, and purpose — so your mileage log is always audit-ready.
Pulls live odometer, GPS, and battery data directly from Tesla Fleet API every time you open the app. No manual entry.
Automatically detects when you drove, where you started, and where you ended. Each trip is timestamped with coordinate data.
Set your home and work addresses once. Trips are auto-labeled Business, Commute, or Personal. Override any trip in one tap.
See your monthly and year-to-date business use percentage on the dashboard. Get a push alert on the 28th if you're below 50%.
Stores Section 179 data (vehicle type, cost basis, date placed in service) and pre-fills Form 4562 Part V answers.
SSN and EIN are stored in Android Keystore (hardware-backed AES-256). Never transmitted to any server. Ever.
Generate an IRS-compliant mileage log report for your accountant or attach it to your tax return. One tap.
Save recurring routes (client office, warehouse, job site). Future trips along those routes auto-classify as Business.
Log in with your Tesla account. CyberDeduct uses official Fleet API OAuth — your Tesla password is never stored in the app.
Enter your home and work addresses once. The app uses them to auto-label commutes and personal trips, reducing manual work to near zero.
After each sync, CyberDeduct surfaces detected trips. Swipe right to approve as Business, left to mark Personal. Done in seconds.
Generate a full-year mileage log as a PDF or CSV. Hand it to your CPA or attach it directly to your tax return.
One app. One deduction. One monthly fee that pays for itself the first time you drive to a client meeting.
First week free. Cancel anytime.
First month free. Billed once a year.
10+ vehicles. Direct invoice. Volume pricing.
The IRS requires contemporaneous mileage records that include the date, destination, business purpose, odometer readings, and total miles driven. CyberDeduct captures every required field automatically.
Synced directly from Tesla — exact start and end timestamps stored for every trip.
GPS coordinates resolved to street addresses via OpenStreetMap. Supports "Home", "Work", and business name detection.
Start and end odometer pulled from Tesla's vehicle telemetry — not estimated.
You add a short purpose note per trip, or route templates fill it automatically for recurring business routes.
The primary IRS reference for vehicle deductions. CyberDeduct follows all record-keeping requirements.
Pre-fills vehicle type, date placed in service, cost basis, and Section B yes/no questions.
Vehicle type decoder auto-identifies whether your Tesla qualifies for the full deduction (> 6,000 lb GVWR).
Generates the mileage totals needed for Schedule C, Part II, Line 9.
We built CyberDeduct around a simple principle: your sensitive tax data should never touch a cloud server.
SSN and EIN are protected by hardware-backed AES-256 via Android Keystore (TEE/StrongBox). Inaccessible even to the app itself when the phone is locked.
Your SSN, EIN, trip records, and mileage logs are stored on-device only. We have no server that stores your personal or financial information.
We use Tesla's official OAuth flow. Your Tesla account password is never seen or stored by CyberDeduct — only a time-limited access token.
Sensitive fields are flagged WHEN_UNLOCKED_THIS_DEVICE_ONLY — excluded from cloud backups (Google Drive, etc.) at the OS level.
